Her heart was full of warmth and love
An angel sent from God above
Compassion ruled her very soul
As she lived to fulfill her purposed role.
She entered this world with love to share
For all around her everywhere
She laughed and played without an end
And brought love and joy to family and friend.
But then one day along the way
This little angel began to stray
Distraught and troubled, confused in mind
The angel left her loved ones behind.
Drugs and drink controlled her life
Leaving family and loved ones with grief and strife
They sought for help, but all in vain
As they lived in sorrow, heartache and pain.
But then one day God answered our
prayer
And sent an Angel of Mercy who cared
She helped the little angel to find her way
And brought her home; this time to stay.
God sent this Angel to bring His
love
As a special gift from heaven above
To remind us of the power of prayer
And to let us know He is always there.
I made a
page about Twinkle,
"The Little
Angel Forgot" right after the Columbine shootings on April
20,1999. At that time, Twinkle continued to struggle, and eventually ended up serving time in juvenile hall. When
Twinkle was released, she said she was NEVER going back to THAT place
(juvenile hall) again. And do you know what, she never has.
After her release, Twinkle was put on probation. The
probation officer to which Twinkle was assigned was and is a true
Angel of Mercy. What she said to Twinkle in their weekly sessions we
will probably never know, but we do know that these sessions and the
"threat" of juvenile hall were enough for her to begin to
turn her life around.
When Twinkle turned
17 years old, she had been drug-free for
almost a year, and began studying for her GED. She had a job, and was named Employee of the Month twice, and
received a
promotion and a raise. There were
still a few occasional struggles; only to be expected from a little
girl who grew up much too fast. But overall, Twinkle has finally come
home.
May 2003 Update!
At
the age of 19, Twinkle got married on May 3, 2003.
She was a beautiful bride, and is a very happy young
girl who has finally found her way. It was a
small wedding, but more important, it was a very
happy time for all of us. Please click below
to visit Twinkle as she danced with her father at
her wedding.

"Another
Angel Gets Its Wings"
Recorded by Vince Gill & Trisha Yearwood
There's an angel in us all
A little voice inside that answers every call
There's a joyous sound resounding in your heart
A ray of hope that shines as bright as any star
Remember . . .
For each and every bell that rings
Another angel gets his wings
So show you care and share your light
And help an angel fly tonight
An act of kindness, a tender smile
These little blessings seem to make it all worth while
So try and do what's ringing true inside your heart
Remember . . .
For each and every bell that rings
Another angel gets his wings
So show you care and share your light
And help an angel fly tonight
Everybody sing
It's a wonderful life
For each and every bell that rings
Another angel gets his wings
Say you believe in what you are
Share the love that's ringing true inside your heart
For each and every bell that rings
Another angel gets his wings
So show you care and share your light
And help an angel fly tonight
Everybody sing
It's a wonderful life
For each and every bell that rings
Another angel gets his wings
