I Sincerely Believe . . .

God gave us the beauty of the rose to remind us of His love, His sacrifice, and the beautiful world He created for us.

Each and every person who comes into our life has something special to teach us.

Life's hardest lesson is not getting your heart's desire.

Happiness is created within, and the people in our lives are merely bonuses to our own happiness.

Family is the strongest and most valuable union on earth.

We can never blame another when the choice was ours.

God gives us sunsets each night to remind us that every tomorrow is another chance to start all over again.  We are not limited on our sunsets.

A hug is the strongest weapon we possess to diffuse anger or stop an argument.

Any problem can be solved if truth is the prime ingredient.  No problem can be solved with lies.

We can only point our children in the right direction.  The path they take is up to them.

Allowing others to see us as we really are is the scariest thing to do, but has the most rewards.

We are each unique and different; trying to be someone we are not is to destroy God's plan.

Sometimes it is better to listen with your heart instead of your ears.  You might be surprised at what you hear.

Being betrayed is the most difficult pain to endure.

Feelings are neither good nor bad - they are just feelings.

We should pay attention when someone or something is tugging at our heart; God may be speaking to us.

Forgiveness has nothing to do with the other person; forgiveness is all about what we are doing for ourself.

We can never go back and redo the past; we can only go forward and work to change our future.

We are not capable of loving another without first loving our-self.

We must be all that we are - no more and no less.

There are no mistakes in life, only lessons to be learned, and sometimes we have to repeat these lessons many times before we score an A+.

The most beautiful gift we can receive from another is a single red rose.

"The Rose"
Recorded by Bette Midler

Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a razer
That leaves your soul to bleed.

Some say love, it is a hunger
An endless aching need
I say love it is a flower
And you, it's only seed.

It's the heart afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance
It's the dream afraid of waking
That never takes the chance.

It's the one who won't be taken
Who cannot seem to give
And the soul afraid of dying
That never learns to live.

When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong.

Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed that with the sun's love
In the spring becomes the rose.
