I received the following e-mail from Sally, a "birthmom" who asked me to write a special message for her child, and for all the other children and "birthmoms" who became separated through adoption.  Sally has located her son who was placed for adoption, and is building a relationship with him now, but she has a powerful story to tell.  Please contact her at the e-mail below if you have questions to ask or if you just want to talk.  This is Sally's letter:

I'm a "birthmom". Thru no decisions of my own, I lost my first born son to adoption when I was 17.  I think I can speak for MANY "birthmoms" around the world.  We need some special message here for our lost children.  They need to know how much we missed them; how much we always loved them, and how much we thought of them everyday.   Just something to make them understand how we can love them so.  I can never put into words what is in my heart.  Because, as an adoptee who had a good home, they can't understand how someone can love someone they don't even know.
