"Please Hear What I Have To Say"

When I ask you a question,
please don't answer my question
with another question;
For then you have voided my question.

When I express my feelings,
and they are not the same as your feelings,
this does not make my feelings wrong;
It only means that we are experiencing
different feelings.

If I tell you I am feeling afraid and insecure,
this does not make me
a fearful and insecure person;
It only means that this is
what I am feeling at the time.

When I ask you to listen to me,
and I have finished talking,
please respond to what I have said.
Don't change the subject;
For when you do, you have told me
that what I am saying
is not worthy of your response.

If we learn how to listen,
and share our feelings,
we will soon discover
that our love has grown stronger.

"Talk To Me"
Recorded by Mickey Gilley in 1983

Talk to me, talk to me
Darling, I love the things you say
Talk to me, talk to me
In your own sweet gentle way.

Let me hear, tell me dear
Tell me you, you love me so
Talk to me, talk to me
Tell me what I want to know.

The many ways you speak of love
I've heard before, it sounds so good everytime
Please say the one part, I love just once more
Darling I'm so glad you're mine.

Talk to me, talk to me
Hold me close, whisper low
Talk to me, Darling can't you see
Baby I, I love you so.

The many ways you speak of love
I've heard before, it sounds so good everytime
Please say the one part, I love just once more
Darling I'm so glad you're mine.

Talk to me, talk to me
Hold me close, whisper low
Talk to me, Darling can't you see
Baby I, I love you so.

Talk to me, talk to me
Darling I, I love you so.
