It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Everywhere you go
Take a look in the five and ten
Glistening once again
With candy canes and sugar lanes aglow

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Toys in every store
But the prettiest sight to see
Is the holly that will be
On your own front door

A pair of Hopalong boots
And a pistol that shoots
Is the wish of Barney and Ben

Dolls that will talk
And will go for a walk
Is the hope of Janice and Jen

And Mom and Dad can hardly wait
for school to start again

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Everywhere you go
There's a tree in the Grand Hotel
One in the park as well
The sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Soon the bells will start
And the thing that will make them ring
Is the carol that you sing
Right within your heart

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Toys in every store
But the prettiest sight to see

Sure it's Christmas once more

There is a chill in the air and the days are getting much shorter.  Houses are decorated with wreaths and colorful lights and store aisles are displaying red and green ribbons, bright wrapping paper and velvet bows. People are scurrying to and fro with a list in their hand and a smile on their face, and it  is beginning to look a lot like Christmas; my favorite time of the year. 

Even though the holiday season seems to start earlier and earlier each year, and by the time it is over we are happy to see it all end, it is important to enjoy the days leading up to and including this very special day of the year.

Christmas season is the time to celebrate the love of our family and friends with the gifts we give and receive. It is the time to celebrate our blessings with ornaments and decorations, and is it the time to celebrate the joy of shared times with others. But most of all, Christmas is the time to celebrate the miracle birth of a small babe lying in a manager so many, many years ago.
