I've picked it from the heavens above
To be seen both near and far
This "special" gift for all of you
a twinkling little star.

Just a small symbol of gratitude
For all you've done for me
As family, friends and internet pals
Across both land and over seas.

And so, for all of you . . .

I've sent my love up to this star
To surround it with glowing light
And as it's changed in size and shape
it has brightened up the night.

During this special Christmas season
Look towards the heavens high above

When I began making these web pages in January of 1999, all I had planned was to make a simple little web page with a poem I had written for my sister as a surprise for her.  I didn't know a thing about building web pages, but thought I would give it a try anyway.  Well before I knew it, one page lead to another, and then another, and then another.  The more pages I made, the more fun and challenging it became.

I can remember back then how excited and thrilled I was to see that 50 people had visited my web site.  My sister, Deanna/Ziplo, was just as excited as I was, and together we began a daily count of people visiting the site.  Then  I began hearing from all of you, and although you probably did not realize this at the time, you were all offering support and encouragement, and in the process helped to create a web-building addict!  Addiction to the core!

Today, my total count of visitors to my home page alone is almost 6 million!  Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought that this many people would care enough to visit my web site and read my various ramblings and soapbox dialogues,  and I owe it to all of you - to those of you who have sent my pages on to others, who in turn have sent them on to even more.  So, from the very bottom of my heart, I thank each and every one for your friendship and support.
