Gary J. LaRoque
January 31, 1944 - October 9, 2001

Gary was a husband and father, but to me he was a friend.  He will always be remembered with his baseball cap cocked to the side of his head, a twinkle in his eyes, and a smile on his face - especially when he thought he got one over on you.  My grandsons could not ask for a more enthusiastic supporter at their ball games.  Gary was their biggest fan, cheering them on when they were doing well, and reacting "appropriately" when the umpire made a bad call.  Chris and Kevin were his boys.

I enjoyed watching Gary interact with his family, affectionately calling his wife "Martha", even though her name is Marcia, and being a #1 soft-touch for his daughters.  Darci and Traci always knew which of his fingers they were each wrapped around. Gary and I shared a mutual interest in the "oldies, but goodies" music, and we both knew there would never be another "King" like Elvis.  Gary allowed my family to adopt him and his family into our family circle, and holidays and celebrations will now have a definite void.  They will never be the same.

Gary, you will be missed
For you have touched our hearts and lives
We will miss your jokes, your smile and charm
And we will miss the twinkle in your eyes.

You lived your life to the fullest
You surrounded yourself with love
And now you've made this final journey
To your heavenly home with God above.
