Honey,
a soldier came today
He didn't have much to say
This envelope was all he left
A State Department return address
A
thousand years from today
I wouldn't know just what to say
My heart is shattered deep inside
And it's a hurt I can't describe
So many things are in
God's hands
And there's no way to understand
Our minds can't comprehend
But it all makes sense to Him
Jimmy
made us oh so proud
And served his country as he vowed
He risked his life for those who need him
For the precious cause of freedom
Honey,
Jimmy's coming home
But this time he's not alone
He'll be with a Guard of Honor
Who'll bring his body home tomorrow
Honey,
Jimmy's coming home
Yes, Jimmy's coming home
War is such an awful thing
But Jimmy told me it would bring
An end to suffering of those not strong
Who long for freedom in their home
And if his life he had to give
So that others they might live
It's a price he'd gladly pay
To stop the evil of our day
Honey, Jimmy's coming home
But this time he's not alone
He'll be with a Guard of Honor
Who'll bring his body home tomorrow
Honey, Jimmy's coming home
But this time he's not alone
He'll be with a Guard of Honor
Who'll bring his body home tomorrow
Honey, Jimmy's coming home

"Jimmy's Coming Home"
Written & Recorded by David Nall
David
Nall is from Justin, Texas. In his younger
days he played honky tonk music and later
started a gospel group and sang gospel
music for several years. After a 20-year
span of time with no music involvement, he
felt God drawing him back to writing
songs. In 2006 he began recording with an
old band mate of his, Branson Music Hall
of Fame guitarist Mike McAdoo.
He says, "God has allowed a lot to
happen in a short time for me musically,
but I have no desire to be a
"star" and I purposely keep my
performances to a small number. I like to
be home at night with my family. But, I do
want to bless and touch as many people as
I can with the music God has given
me." He
just turned 60 and celebrated his 40th
wedding anniversary with his high school
sweetheart. They have 5 children and 7
grandchildren. His 19 year old son just
graduated from the U.S. Marine Corps, and
David commented, " He
will most likely go to Afghanistan in 6
months or so." If
