God sent special angels to earth today
To watch us prepare for Christmas day
A reminder of the day He sent Divine love
In Mary's Boy Child born from above.
The angels watch over as we
buy gifts to share
Carefully selected with tender loving care
Gifts of love just as the Wise men brought
For the new-born King they searched and sought
As we decorate our homes with tinsel and lights
The angels smile with joy and delight
For the symbols created in our decorations
Display our awe and uplifting adoration.
When we lift our voices in sweet Christmas songs
The angels join in and sing right along
Sharing our worship and joyful praise
As our souls are lifted and spirits upraised.
As the day drew nigh and the angels returned
They shared their excitement in all they learned
"All remember the day God sent Divine love
In Mary's Boy Child born from above."

Mary's boy child, Jesus Christ
Was born on Christmas day

While shepherds watched their flock by night
