Many a tear has to fall but it's all in the game
All in the wonderful game that we know as love
You have words with him and your future's looking dim
But these things your hearts can rise above.

Once in a while he won't call but it's all in the game
Soon he'll be there at your side with a sweet bouquet
And he'll kiss your lips and caress your waiting fingertips
And your heart will fly away.

Soon he'll be there at your side with a sweet bouquet
Then he'll kiss your lips and caress your waiting fingertips
And your heart will fly away.

"It's All In The Game"
Recorded by Tommy Edwards in 1951 - peaked #18 on billboard
Was #1 in 1958 for 6 weeks when released as flip side of "Please Love Me Forever"
Music by Charles Dawes in 1912
Words by Carl Sigman

Tommy Edwards was born February 17, 1922 in Richmond, Virginia.  As a R&B singer, he was most remembered for his recording of "It's All In The Game".  The song was composed in 1912 by Charles G. Dawes.  Dawes later became the 30th U. S. Vice-President in 1925 with Calvin Coolidge as President.  The name of the song then was "Melody in A Major".

Tommy Edwards recorded others songs, but none of them reached the peak of "It's All in The Game".  He died at the age 47 of a brain aneurysm, although their were also rumors the cause of death was alcoholism.  The two may have been related.

The music playing is a condensed version of "It's all In The Game", and is for entertainment, educational and evaluation purposes only. Titles have full copyright by their respective artists and record companies. Please show your support for the artists who gave us this great music by purchasing their CDs.

If you are interested in purchasing a full version of "It's All In The Game" by Tommy Edwards, I have provided a link below to Amazon.com. They sell both new and used CDs. I have purchased many used CDs for my web pages and have never had a problem.  Amazon also sells MP3 downloads in several categories with single songs ranging from 89 to 99 cents.

Thank you.
